Amazing campground right across from the Sandbanks. Stay here and play at the sandbanks for free. Owners and staff are amazing. Well worth the trip. The photo of the high water and dock is from the spring of the year, highest water levels in 100 years. Camp ground is still amazing even with high water levels

Close to Sandbanks beach. Activities for kids. Kids had fun fishing with fishing pole and even with just a net and some bread in the small river that runs along the campground. :-) Other activities within a short drive.

Nice beach, very large and water is calm. Parking is not organized well and it is very crowded even on weekdays. No lifeguards and not enough waste cans and recycling bins. Other than that a great place for kids and very clean.

If your travelling more than an hour to get there or planning a long stay, don't waste your time.. The campground is shared with guests who are there on a permanent or seasonal basis. The person who had the lot in back of us was telling me how to park my RV so I don't block his satellite dish??? Even asking if I can retract my awning because he wasn't getting all his channels.. Come on now! The first night teenagers were on the site next to us funneling beer and yelling until 3am..No staff members onsite to enforce quiet time. The Sandbanks Beach is close by and beautiful but that's about it.. Site has old abandoned looking RV's scattered throughout, there is a reason they don't post pics of the lots.. Some lots were cut in half to make space for people in tents...sorry but we shouldn't be facing each other separated by a yellow rope...My family members arrived with a 32' RV, they could barely get in the lot that was recommended for them and ended up scratching their tow vehicle. Not recommended sorry.

My wife and I have camped here a total of 20 nights this Summer. The new owner, Joe in the Orange Shirt is a real down to earth fellow. His Staff are equally amazing and helpful. We ejoyed ourselves at the Annual Corn Roast/Kaiser on a Bun Festival, they put on Saturday night. A good family Camp Ground that is fun, safe and lots to do.
