The cottage we had was well maintained, clean and thankfully, unlike many cottages Ive been to the kitchen equipment was very good. Big pots, good knives, lots of plates, platters, etc. Obviously as they are owned by different parties this may vary from cottage to cottage but ours was well stocked.

This was our first stay at sandbanks summer village and we loved it. The little house we ranted was clean and inviting. The "resort" looks great, nice pool, playground for the kids. Price wise it isn't cheap compared to a week in Cuba for example, but for a comparable vacation in Ontario or Quebec it's ok.

You can get a pass to the sandbanks beach every day (go early), there is an infinity pool for adults only with a gym and the grounds are well kept. You can get a kayak or canoe for 2 hours at a time on east lake.

The perfect place to stay with your family. It's a new resort still under construction, but all the facilities (pool, restaurant, kiddie park) were opened and the staff was very friendly. It's a short drive (10 mins) to the Sandbanks provincial park. The cottages are fully furnished (+BBQ) and very modern. When night falls, the resort is very quiet and you have access to a fire pit to make S'mores! You just need to bring your bathing suit and some groceries. The resort offers towels, shampoo and dishwasher detergent (yes, there's a dishwasher in every cottage!) It's a bit pricey ($1,600/week - 7 nights), but if you take in consideration the money you'll save if you were to rent a hotel room + restaurant bills, it's fair. Up to 6 people can sleep in the cottages (2 rooms + hide-a-bed sofa).

We were there for a week and we will definitely come back in the next years. Three cottage was flawless, the place is quiet, staff is extremely courteous and there's a lot to do on site.

We have stayed here for 2 years. The cabins are new and well maintained. There is something for everyone here. From the pool, to the playground and the lake activities. Small towns close by for food and other activities. I can't give 5 stars as on our last visit the construction was not stop and this made it hard to enjoy the area. Constant noise and people. When it's done I'm sure that will be much better

One detractor.......there is a fire pit, but it is a centralized pit for about 8 cottages so if you want a fire, its kind of a communal thing. Cottages do not have their own fire pit.

Sandbanks pass a available every days, and the postcard is at 10-15 minutes drive from the site.
